Postcards from Scotland - Scottish Paper/Print Artists

Well, if you have read last week's post you will know that we've been in Scotland this last month and that we've been posting on some of the art-related highlights from our stay!  As promised, today we round off our postcard tour with a cross section of paper/print based talent we chanced upon while on tour:

Isabell Buenz - paper sculpture, artist books and photography

Claire Cameron-Smith- woodblock printmaker working in the traditional Japanese style with local themes

Jeremy Carlisle- watercolourist, artist books and photography

Kate Downie - expressive drawing, painting and printmaking

Roger Lever - semi-abstract photography

Kathleen Lindsley - printmaker specialising in wood engravings

Jean Macalpine - artist who combines photography with a truly painterly flair

Linda Mallett - composite artist using a mixture of digital print and graphite

Jenny Mason- watercolourist focusing on expansive loose landscape representations

Silvana McLean - amazing etcher (also a painter)

Phil McMenemy - colour-blind landscape photographer (amazing work!)

Liz Myhill- printmaker, wonderful collagraphs and linoprints

Orbost Gallery - a selection of artists work on the isle of sky in watercolour, calligraphy and fine art prints

Simon Robinson - film based photographer (originally from New Zealand)

Laura West - bespoke bookbinder

That's it for our postcards from Scotland and we hope you enjoyed the notes.  We are now off to the studio to get organised for this weekend's Artisan Studio Tour!
